First Private Primary School “Isa-beg Ishaković”, which belongs to Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo (SEDEF), started its educational activities in campus that used to be first educational institution of Fetullah Gülen in BiH.
Educational Activities Conducted for 20 Years
The members of Gülen Movement who committed betrayal against Turkey in the failed Coup Attempt are facing huge difficulties in their homeland as well as abroad. The members of this organization conducted educational activities in schools in Vraca for the past 20 years. The buildings were restored with the funds earned by organizing sports matches in Istanbul in 1995., where Turkish players participated along with the international ones.
Members of FETÖ tried to protect themselves by handing over their schools to an American company. However, they had no choice but leave the Campus in Vraca. Under the directive of President Erdoğan, SEDEF Foundation is conducting educational activities in BiH since 2001, whilst its first institution opened was International University of Sarajevo (IUS), opened in 2004.
During his visit to Sarajevo in 2012, while still being the Prime Minister of Turkey, president Erdoğan emphasized that SEDEF Foundation, which is today filling many gaps in Bosnian-Herzegovinian higher education system, needs to direct its activities towards opening the elementary school and high school. By initiative of SEDEF Foundation President Mr. Hasan Toplaoğlu, the Primary School „Isa Beg Isaković“ situated in Grbavica neighborhood was taken over in May 2014.
Due to great demand for the school whose languages of instruction are Turkish, Bosnian, English and Arabic, the existing facilities were not enough to accommodate all of the students. After the coup attempt in Turkey, conducted by the Gülen Movement (FETÖ), it was evident that parents are not willing to send their kids to schools ran by this organization.
Finally in Safe Hands
In order to find an appropriate venue to start a high school, Mr. Hasan Toplaoğlu, the President of SEDEF Foundation, met the representatives of Canton Sarajevo to discuss the possibility of taking over buildings in Vraca neighborhood in Sarajevo. Upon the agreement reached in talks during the last few months, SEDEF took over the school buildings, which were in past used by the elementary school, high school, and dormitories belonging to FETÖ - Bosna SEMA educational institutions.
TRT Took Over the Venue FETÖ Used for Brainwashing
Municipality of Old Town granted the venue in Ferhadija Street in the heart of Sarajevo, previously used by FIDAN Tourism Agency to bring tourists to Bosnia and Herzegovina and ran by members of FETÖ, TRT news agency representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The municipality council of Old Town held sessions for the purpose of awarding the venue to TRT. In one of the sessions, 28 council members voted for granting the venue to TRT. The venue was previously rented to Fidan agency.
In the following period, TRT representatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue with their work in the new facilities.
