On December 22, 2016, as a result of signing ceremony between Sarajevo Education Development Foundation and Sarajevo Student Center, the SEDEF Foundation rented 3 buildings on 6 acres of land in Sarajevo.
After the signing ceremony, Hasan Topaloğlu, the President of SEDEF Foundation, stated that as the SEDEF Foundation, we will move Isa Beg Ishakovic Primary School till February and start offering high school education in September 2017 and with the help of IUS, which had been the pioneer of quality in higher education in Bosnia, we will be the pioneer of quality in this newly rented educational institution. He also pointed out that they are trying to display Turkey in the best way and work only in the frame of education.
''This service will be the last one offered to Bosnia and Herzegovina by the SEDEF Foundation whose only intentions is education and training", said Mr. Topaloğlu. At the end of his speech, he wished for this signing ceremony to be instrumental and thanked IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe, Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Gürsel and Advisor to and Representative for the Rector Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Ali for being ready in the ceremony and Armin Kerić and Emir Kadrić for putting so much efforts on this project from the beginning.
Afterwards, a member of the Board of Trustees of Sarajevo Student Center Prof. Dr. Ifet Mahmutović stated his happiness for having SEDEF Foundation in Bosnia and Hercegovina. He also stated that he is happy as a Muslim Bosniak and a professor at the University of Sarajevo about how Bosnia and Hercegovina will improve with the agreement. Moreover, Mr. Mahmutovic expressed his gratitude to all members of the foundation and Hasan Topaloğlu for their support of the development of Bosnia and Herzegovina and for his happiness to rent the school which is named after the founder of Sarajevo to the SEDEF Foundation and thanked those who helped in the progress.
The SEDEF Fountation will complete the chain of education and training with this agreement at all levels in Sarajevo. In the years to come, they aim to open educational and training institutions in other cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
