Foundation and Ilidža Municipality signed a land purchase agreement

Ilidža Municipality Council adopted the Decision for sale of the unsettled land for construction of a religious building at the location, Hrasnička cesta 15. Based on the decision, an agreement was signed between the Foundation for Education Development (SEDEF), a founder of the International University of Sarajevo, and the Ilidža Municipality on direct purchase of land in order to build a mosque near the university. The agreement was signed at the premises of the Ilidža Municipality on September 18, 2015. Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Prof. Dr. Senaid Memić and Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for Education Development (SEDEF), Hasan Topaloğlu signed the agreement on purchese. "I’d like to thank the Ilidža Municipality and its Mayor for the support in this project. IUS has become an educational center of many young people from different countries. We plan to build this place of worship for students and citizens who wish to practice their religious obligations. Besides the mosque we will build a high school and a dorm to live in. After the construction of the mosque, the ownership rights of the building will be given to Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as its management and use, "said Hasan Topaloğlu.
